Fortnightly Review - Weeks 23 & 24

I nearly made it three complete weeks in a row, but the deteriorating weather conditions cost me a final 20 minute swim on the Sunday. Trading that off against actually getting my first proper river swim with a group this year (and finding I am actually in really good swim condition), I am not too worried about just missing out.

Over the fortnight I made up that missing swim and more. I did a full second week. Getting 3 more group open water swims in, as well as one in the paddling pool, meant I more than made up the missing swim mileage from the previous week.

I managed to get through my D and E ride weeks with a combination of Bridge of Dee, Danestone, Dee / Danestone and then Eighteen point Eight Eight to Elrick and Eight point Eight Eight. F and G I am going to have to come up with something new again. When I was doing alphabet days last year I just did Fifteen minutes, and Go racing and neither of those is going to work for filling out my next two weeks.

I did four fast run sessions through the fortnight. Two 3km virtual race attempts (12:00 in a bit of a wind, 11:29 in the damp), a virtual 5k attempt (21:20, tired legs) and a hill reps session.

The next fortnight will see me pass 700 miles running, that will take me past my 2009 whole year total. It might also see me get all the way to 745, which would pass my 2019 whole year total, and I am not even half way through 2020 yet.
