Fortnightly Review - Weeks 31 and 32

My granny got home from the care home where she has been since Covid started. Her deafness and memory problems are even worse than before she went in but at 100 years old what can you expect. Just being able to visit her was a big step forward though, and she seems to be enjoying being home again. 

Then we got put back into another pointless lockdown. 

The new lockdown cost me two open water swimming trips, but they were cancelled early enough that I had time to fit in additional tethered swimming in the pool to make up for the lost distance. 

For my L rides I did a Little bit of race practice, riding my road bike for a 10k for my triathlon club virtual race, then as the closing date approached and everyone suddenly started submitting faster times I pulled out the TT bike and took it to Garlogie to ride faster times. For my M rides I did a couple of short rides on the mountain bike, before doing a bigger road loop to Milltimber & Maryculter. I have at least put a decent gap in between my run total and my bike total now. 

For my runs I mostly just churned out loops of Dyce. I had a couple of virtual races. A 5k and a 1-hour time trial. I passed 900 miles.

I also took a load of extra Asda shifts. Having started my treatment to straighten my teeth and loaned my sister and brother-in-law some money for their business I need to start being a bit more careful about what I am spending and to keep a sensible amount of money coming in. 

Missed yoga again. Really need to get that moving again. The stiffness and aches are accumulating and I need to do more than the rollering to sort them out.
