Back in the pool!
I am going to count in 2 junk swim sessions as the first two trips I did to the pool were just easy 20 minute efforts to check on my turns and try and remember what the pool was like. I could easily count them as positives because I learned a lot and got back into the pool habit, but I set my criteria for junk swims at the start of the year and I am going to stick with it. I then did rep sessions for three swims this week. 8x150, 10x100 and 4x400. They were all slow, but even within those 3 sessions there are notable improvements.
On the bike, I have resorted to staying indoors. Because I have taken on a part-time course at the University, I qualify for a student card, and for membership of the Uni Triathlon Club, and for access to their spin sessions. That gives me one 'proper' indoor session a week. For the others I have been combining them with my study time. Sitting on the turbo and just doing an easy spin as I watch the lectures each week. For the sake of alphabetising I am going to call them turbo Very slowly, and turbo With study.
I am still running silly numbers as I head towards 1500 miles for the year. I almost ran as many miles as I cycled again in this fortnight.
In other news; I started my new job and it is going well.
And in other, other news; well, that is none of your business but is also going really well.
