Fortnightly Review - Week 8

This might be a bit rushed as I start my new job tomorrow, and I still have a 5 hour shift at my old job before I get to bed.

I am still running too much, and too slowly.

I missed a chunk of swimming from the broken rib, but have been catching up since I got back in the water. But it is also very slow. I have started doing some speed sessions now but they are still only at 1:40 pace.

I am doing close to my planned numbers on the bike, but all on the turbo, or in races, and I am not convinced of the value.

I have done no core, weights or yoga due to my rib (and finger). Just about managed to do a couple of rollering sessions.

I have been doing my physio sessions regularly and there is a definite improvement in my right knee.

I raced Inverurie Duathlon. I didn't run great, but it wasn't bad given the conditions and my fatigue levels. The bike was hellish. It was a massive wind and I took the TT bike, which in hindsight might not have been the best choice. But then the road bike might not have been the best choice either as the TT bike flew on the wind assisted section at the end. I am not even going to look closely enough to figure out if that was worth the section where I had to get off it to walk up the hill, or the multiple sections where I was nearly in the ditch and all over the road fighting the wind.
