I started my new job. It has been an absolute disaster. Not only has the job itself been a complete waste of my time, but it has affected my mental health and my ability to train. I have managed to keep my daily runs going, but I have done less than half what I wanted in the pool, a fraction of that on the bike, and a couple of squeezed in core sessions. It has been a pretty poor fortnight except for basketball which is actually going well and at least giving me something to keep me happy.
I am still running way too much, but way too slow. Speed is gradually improving just on the back of the silly volume, and I am still on my run-every-day streak, but it isn't a very smart approach. Especially now that I am giving up so many other sessions.
