Training Review - Week 15 & 16

The whole Coronavirus lockdown is a nonsense It was a nonsense when it started but it is beyond stupidity now. The propagandised fear mongering has reached epic proportions.

I ran another longest week ever, and dropped a 42 minute 10k in the middle of it. That is 3 minutes faster than I was even racing 10k in 2019. Then I decided to just reign it in a bit and have an easier week. Even within that easier week I then stuck in another 10k at 7min/mile (~44min) pace.

I have exceeded my bike targets for this fortnight, but mostly because the targets got smaller rather than because I am doing anything useful on the bike. I am spinning out some time on the turbo, but it isn't really adding any value, it is just ticking a box. It is also worth noting that I have now run almost the same miles as I have cycled so far this year. Hopefully that is only temporary, as soon as the lockdown ends I will be able to up that bike number and cut back on the running in almost no time.

Another fortnight with not a single swim stroke. That is frustrating and depressing. My depression is actually becoming a more general problem as well.

I have managed to keep up my regular smaller sessions and am starting to catch up on some of those targets at least.
