Fortnightly Review - Weeks 27 & 28

There have been a chunk of notable things in this fortnight. I had my 44th birthday, and my Dad made it to his 70th on Sunday. I have made it half way through the year and am still on course to run every day in a leap year. I ran my first 10-miler since 2016. I have passed 60 swim miles, putting me ahead of this point in 2019 and that went on to be my record swim mileage year. I am just short of 800 run miles, which is my target for the end of the year. That also passes my end of year totals from every year except 2015 and 2017, and those totals, 842 and 814 respectively, will both likely fall in the next fortnight. I passed 200 consecutive run days, but that number has become meaningless.

With no need to have rest days for races and very little speed work going on, those numbers are going to keep climbing towards the increasingly stupid.

I just missed two full weeks again. I skipped a 20-minute swim on Saturday as I had a migraine. I still did more than double my run plan, and way more than double my bike plan. But then smashing the numbers is easy when I have nothing else do with my time and can swim an entire week's target in a single river swim and ride two-and-a-half-weeks worth of miles in a single ride.

For my H rides I went Half marathon distance to Hatton in (under) an Hour, for my I rides I went to Inverurie / Insch / Inverurie for 44 miles on my birthday and Insanely far and steep for 70 miles on my dad's 70th birthday.
